Impact of chemical fertilisers on activities of enzymes:
Influence of NK fertilizers on enzymes like nitrate reductase, protease and urease are being monitored. Such studies will be helpful in making conclusion on dosage, optimum interval and efficiency of NK fertilizers
Influence of NK fertilizers on enzymes like nitrate reductase, protease and urease are being monitored. Such studies will be helpful in making conclusion on dosage, optimum interval and efficiency of NK fertilizers
Vertical distribution of enzymes like urease, protease, aryl sulfatase, acid and alkaline phosphatases in various agro climatic zones are being studied.

Experiment on liming :
New experiments are in progress to decide the dosage of dolomite based on the buffering capacity of tea soils. The buffering capacity was estimated using four different approaches namely SMP, Woodruff, Mehlich and Adams & Evan.

Experiment on phosphorus :
Based on experiments laid out at Nilgiris, Anamallais, Wayanad, Central Travancore and Koppa regions the influence of citric acid on the availability of soil available phosphorus was evaluated. This study also compared the availability of phosphorus by placement of rock phosphate. These experiments have led to the revision of recommendation on rock phosphate application in tea fields.

Bio-Power and Bio-Force :
New molecules of organic origin like bio power and bio force were evaluated for their performance on growth and productivity of tea.
Well gro soil and well gro crop :
Wellgro-soil organic manure, developed from plant products helps to improve the soil fertility and health.

GIS in Tea plantation :
The soil fertility maps were prepared for certain estates situated in Anamallais and Nilgiris using GIS (Geographic Information System) technique. The digital map derived for fertility status of N, P, K and OM is of immense use to the farmers to have site specific management practices with respect to fertilizer application.

EXPERIMENT ON PHOSPHORUS :
Based on experiments laid out at Nilgiris, Anamallais, Wayanad, Central Travancore and Koppa regions the influence of citric acid on the availability of soil available phosphorus was evaluated. This study also compared the availability of phosphorus versus placement of rock phosphate . These experiments have led to the revision of recommendation on rock phosphate application in tea fields.

EXPERIMENT ON ENERGIZED WATER (VI-AQUA) :
Influence of electromagnetically treated water on growth and productivity of tea was studied.

ANALYTICAL SERVICE :
Besides conducting research, we are offering analytical service primarily to our members, firm members and also to non-members at a nominal charge. The service include.

Soil analysis for fertility status and pH
Leaf analysis for nutrient content like N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg, Zn, Mn, B, Cu, Ni, Fe, Na and Cl
Organic manure analysis for all the above mentioned parameters in addition to moisture, pH and EC

Analysis of active ingredient content in various herbicides, fungicides and pesticides
Analysis of wetting agents
Analysis of straight and mixed fertilizers for UPASI/FCO specification
