Today, the UPASI Tea Research Institute occupies a premier position in the world of tea research. The Institute has six divisions namely, Botany, Plant Physiology, Chemistry, Entomology / Pesticide residue lab, Plant Pathology and Tea Technology. The six Regional Centres of the Foundation cater to the needs of the entire tea industry in South India.
