HARDENING OF TISSUE CULTURE RAISED PLANTS It takes around eight to nine months to transfer tissue culture raised plants to field condition. The mist house shown below provides controlled environmental conditions for this purpose.
SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS It is an asexual technique to produce variant genotypes in tea. We have been successful in developing this in vitro technique for the production of mutants. Note the production of morphological mutants derived from the same mother culture (UPASI-10).
