Affiliation of TRI to universities

Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and Calicut University, Kozhikode recognized UPASI TRI which put forward an excellent opportunity to the scientists and research scholars who wanted to peruse doctoral degree through research. Over a period of 25 years, 47 scientists/ research scholars have obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree through the TRI and one conferred with Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) award. Senior scientists of TRI are recognized as supervisors for guiding Ph.D. scholars.

Best KVK Award

The best KVK award constituted by ICAR, New Delhi was given to UPASI KVK for the year 1996-97 for its outstanding performance in the sector of small grower development.


Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, Government of Tamil Nadu (Autonomous Body), Chennai recognized the contributions made by one among the scientists at TRI and conferred Tamil Nadu Scientist Award (TANSA Award) in Agricultural Sciences for the year 2009.
